The spring 2019 issue of the Quarterly Journal of Design, Disegno #22, is now available for pre-order and will be on the newsstand from early April.

Disegno #22 offers in-depth, long-form journalism and critical writing, as well as inspiring portraiture, arts photography and reportage, all of which provide a window onto contemporary design and surrounding fields.

Highlights from the spring issue include a travelogue from Tonahuixtla, where Fernando Laposse has been rejuvenating native Mexican corn; an exploration of the pharmatronic features of Tetris Effect; dispatches from CES 2019, where the tech industry has woken up to the crisitunity of climate change; an essay and gallery on the affective values of child-like design features; a look at the 1930s copyright tussle between Alvar Aalto and Marcel Breuer; reflections on Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s fountain designs for an embattled Champs-Élysées; and a chance to win the watering can Grab, designed by Stine Aas for Northern.
