A magazine for lovers of art cinema and fashion.
A publication that merges cinema elements with a fashion landscape, which are translated into intricate fashion stories, pictorial written pieces, interviews and filmic illustrations.
An original film script, written for each edition, underlies every fashion editorial. This issue contains the second part of a trilogy, where life/death and love/hate are intertwined in a dreamlike shape, inspired by the works of David Lynch, Federico Fellini, Andrei Tarkovsky, Michelangelo Antonioni and others.
Issue one is a non-oficial tribute to Rei Kawakubo and her astonishing work for Comme des Garçons. It includes a fashion story stylized with archive pieces from her Paris debut; the minimal, groundbreaking collections from the 80’s and 90’s.
Plus a sketchbook with drawings merging Comme des Garçons’ iconic collections with cinema masterpieces by: Pier Paolo Pasolini / Lars Von Trier / James Whale / Luchino Visconti /Akira Kurosawa / David Cronenberg / John Waters / Federico Fellini /David Lynch / Jane Campion / Ettore Scola / Sergei Eisenstein / Francis Ford Coppola / Shohei Iamamura / Peter Greenway / Ingmar Bergman / among others.
Featuring: Julien dY’s [32 pages with images from his personal archive] Ilker Akyol [an intriguing look into Comme des Garçons’ backstage, blending photography and painting into a unique tableaux with her latest collections].
Written pieces on: Quay Brothers, Theo Angelopoulos and Rei Kawakubo; also drawings, illustrations, film scripts, cinematic fashion stories and a 20-page portfolio with images by filmmakers and directors of photography from Los Angeles, Paris, New York and London.
