Photograph what you know. This has long been good advice, but it has never been more relevant than in 2020. COVID-19 has had an enormous impact, not only on how we work and travel, but also on how we think and feel. This issue features photographers that have been inspired by their families, the confines of their interior spaces, places they call home and their own back gardens.
Portfolios include work by Joan Albert, April Dawn Alison, Christopher Anderson, Narelle Autio, Judith Black, Motoyuki Daifu, Anna Fox, Bertien van Manen, Raymond Meeks, Michael E. Northrup, Trent Parke, Nigel Shafran and Larry Sultan.
Crude Metaphors features photographs by Mark Steinmetz and words by Jane Slavin.
